AMVCA 2025 Full List – Seven Doors by Femi Adebayo wins Best Music Score and takes first place in two other categories.

Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors was one of the major winners of the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), which honoured the best in African cinema and television on Saturday, May 10.

The Yoruba-language drama had a successful night as it won three major awards: Best Music Score, Best Lead Actor, and Best Lead Actress.

Femi Adebayo, a seasoned actor, producer, and director, has won in two categories at the 2024 AMVCA with his epic film Jagun Jagun. This is his second consecutive AMVCA appearance. Seven Doors maintained the momentum this year, winning praise for its superior technical and performing skills.

The 2025 Trace Awards included several notable winners, including Nigerian musicians Rema, Mercy Chinwo, D’banj, and Ayra Starr.

Rema won two significant honours: “Best Male Artist” and “Album of the Year” for Heis. The “Best West African Artist” award went to Ayra Starr.

For her heartfelt and inspirational songs, gospel singer Mercy Chinwo won the title of “Best Gospel Artist,” while D’banj was honoured with the esteemed “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his services to the music business.

Meji Alabi, who won “Best Music Video” for directing Rema’s “DND,” and P.Priime, who won “Best Producer” for “MMS,” were two other Nigerian winners.

The gorgeous Mora Resort in Zanzibar, Tanzania, hosted the 2025 Trace Awards on Wednesday, February 26.
