The tech giant said in a statement on Wednesday that the tool, driven by Gemini 2.0, supports all publicly available programming languages.

The new service offers 240 conversation requests per day and 180,000 code completions monthly.

According to Google, developers can create without juggling several apps thanks to Gemini create Assist’s direct integration with well-known integrated programming environments (IDEs) including Visual Studio Code and JetBrains.

“Integrated development environments (IDEs) are where developers spend the majority of their time coding,” Google stated.

Now, developers can use the same code completion, generation, and chat features that companies have had for more than a year with the free version of Gemini Code Assist in Visual Studio Code and JetBrains IDEs.

Additionally, the business revealed that Gemini Code Assist for GitHub, which offers AI-assisted code reviews, is now available to the public.

According to the company, the function enforces code standards, identifies coding flaws, and makes improvement suggestions.
