Kevin Gates, an American rapper, vocalist, and business person from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, played out his first hajj in the year 2016, a couple of months subsequent to embrasing Islam.
In his visit to Makkah, the most holy city for Muslims, the now passionate Muslim had a one of a kind profound encounter in the wake of being welcome to kiss the Black Stone, situated in the focal point of the Grand Mosque on the eastern foundation of the Ka’bah.
During the Hajj muslims from everywhere throughout the world make the excursion to Makkah and many visit the Black Stone to contact and kiss the obscured rock as a major aspect of the Tawaf custom.
The one of a kind encounter was shared by Gates in a video he posted on Instagram of himself and his wife moving toward the Stone.
He clarifies how one of the military men guarding the Stone welcomed him and her to kiss it, which he is humbled by.
“This Man I’ve never met – embraced me as if we had known each other our entire lives – one of the greatest Muslims I’ve met in my life – #AllahuAkbar,” he captioned the video.
“To be healed is to be healed from all things – I’ll never forget this day – in this life and the hereafter – May Peace Be Upon you All,” he added.
In the clip, Gates can be seen kissing the Stone at the assigned area on the stone.
As he reaches the Stone his shoulders begin to tremble as though he has been moved to tears.
The Ka’bah is the holy House of God arranged in the Holy mosque in the city of Makkah, in Saudi Arabia.
The Black Stone, an old hallowed stone, is installed in the eastern corner of the Ka’bah, one and a half meters over the ground. Prophet Muhammad (harmony arrive) stated:
“The dark stone descended from heaven and it was more white than milk, however the wrongdoings of the children of Adam turned it dark.” (Muslim)
